Notes
Notes:
- Encore from FOB Sennheiser 441s Master AUD from Bill Koucky, transferred on Nak DR-2 > Presonus Firebox @ 24/96, wavelab.
- first notes of FOTD/start of second set missing. on Bill's tape this part is also not recorded well with what sounds like a scramble to get things rolling again.
- Second set flip at the 45:12 second mark during a lull, crossfaded into seamlessness - currently at the 3:12 mark of space, d3t01.

Subject: FOB heaven!
If you think it sounds good streaming off the Archive...well prepared to have the proverbial "Steal your face right of your head" moment when you upload this show to your PC or network streamer.
The first set is KILLER! No ifs ands or buts about it.
Set II is also exceptional but starts off with an FOTD which is played at a slightly faster tempo. I had some friends attend this show and the weather was wicked hot and humid so that might explain this one off.
The Truckin'> He's Gone is quite enjoyable as well and the post jam takes on a very bluesy and it seems like they are heading into Spoonful territory but instead go into Eyes, which seems a slight disappointment to those in attendance. Eyes starts to pick up as the sound unfolds.
The post space picks up where the 1st set left off, with the Mr. Fantasy> Hey Jude Reprise being monumental. The only quib is Healy has Jerry way to low in the mix during Fantasy and being a FOB you know it.
Happy trails!
Subject: GREAT set list!
Subject: Jerry how you all doing
Subject: All Night Long!
That gets my attention and rockin too!
We Can Run-I will always give Brent credit in 89-90 he really stepped into the spotlight.
I like the harmonies for this tune
We can't hide!!!
Friend of the Devil to open the 2nd Set this after a Garcia tune (Don't Ease) to end 1st set. That is just a complete and total surprise!
This show a good example of how HOT they could be when they just went a wee bit outside the standard formula.
I don't think it is an understatement to say this represents the Grateful Dead at their best for this time period.
Thanks for the misspent days of my youth.
Gone are the days.
Subject: Great recording, Best in the bunch
Thank you Mr. Thomson for getting a great recording of this show, worthy of a download from someone who usually skips over AUDs, regardless of quality.
First Playin>Crazy Fingers opener since MSG 1982. I can't remember any other time they opened a second set with FOTD (at-least in the Brent days).
This could be the best performance of Dear Mister Fantasy. Hear the crowd go nuts and especially Jerry, Brent, and drummers matching their rowdy east-coast enthusiasm. Nothing like a New England Dead Show.
Subject: Los Lobos Grateful Dead This Land is Your Land
5 star recording, thanks for the download with or without This Land, Good Times, and Sitting on Top of the World;)
*PS search the title of review on youtube to see the video I am referring to Jerry and Bobby with Los Lobos.
Subject: fox ->buffalo
playin->crazy fingers(wow!!hows that for a set opener) ...the playin was just up to the jam where they cut it off and went into crazy fingers
and i waited the entire show for them to pop back
into the reprise but alas it was not to be.
Did they forget about it??? I have no idea.
but you can imagine my delight when 2 days later in my home town of Buffalo when the better part of the way through the second set the come creeping out of ship of fools to finish it off with the playin reprise!!!! yeah! Now thats a band! I dont know who else noticed it at the time
or later for that matter!? When i met back up w/friend after the show who had been with me in foxborough (who know there Dead) they seem to think i was off my rocker. but off course the tapes later upheld my version of this unusual occurence. I dont know if this has happend before
or after but i knew it happend that night.
being there i thought fox borrough was the better of the 2 shows but the tapes seem to indicate otherwise.
Subject: VERY HOT recording!
